Grand Open 2018 Men’s 4.0 division (L to R): Viktor Angwald (finalist), Cleve Miller (President, NY Squash), Euan Henderson (winner)

The first major tournament in the NY Squash season, the Grand Open is an amateur tournament held in conjunction with the iconic PSA Tournament of Champions in Grand Central Station. Grand Open players receive a complimentary ticket to the ToC for one weekend session, and there is a player party Saturday night across from the ToC glass court.

There are divisions for all skill levels (men’s and women’s, beginner to Open), large draws of 32 to 64. Most players have three matches, with all players guaranteed two matches.

  • Date: Friday, 5:00pm January 18 to Sunday, 3:00pm January 20, 2019

  • Locations: CityView, Equinox, Harvard Club, Princeton Club, Yale Club

  • Price: $160 (save $20 with early registration, on/before November 2)

  • Registration closes Friday, January 11 at 5:00 pm.

  • Draws may be 32 or 64.

Special: women’s one-day format!
We tested this format at the NY Open in December, and it was both successful and popular.

So, to reduce the time commitment for women players for the Grand Open, we've continued the new, Saturday-only format with eight-player draws.

Also, for the one-day tournament, and to support women's squash, we're giving an over 50% discount to $75 for the women's draw!

Grand Open Women’s Package:

  • 3 matches with only a one-day commitment

  • tournament T-shirt

  • free ticket to the iconic Tournament of Champions

  • awesome players’ party at Grand Central across from the glass court during TOC

  • save $85 off regular entrance fee!
